Ireland lifted visa requirements for UAE nationals and to celebrate the occasion, Etihad Airways has launched special airfare for those traveling from Abu Dhabi to Dublin. Etihad Airways is UAE’s national airlines. The visa requirements came into force on January 31st, 2018.
Starting January 31, the special fares are AED 15,215 for business class and AED 2,885 for economy class. It is the final cost and includes surcharges and taxes. Mohammad Al Bulooki, Executive Vice President Commercial, Etihad Airways said that it has experienced a considerable increase in flights for its Abu Dhabi and Dublin route. Removal of visa regulations will further increase the traffic, and some Al Bulooki is very happy about this. The visa-free travel regime will surely increase leisure and business travel between the two countries. It is another example that shows how powerful the UAE passport has become over the years.
He said that Etihad Airways are delighted to be a part of the celebration and will always closely work with its partner, Ireland Tourism to host special campaigns for the two countries and promote the visa-free travel. Etihad Airways has daily return flights in between Abu Dhabi and Dublin. The route uses two-class Airbus A330-200, which has 240 economy class seats and 22 business class seats.
Most improved passport of the decade
The Henley Passport Index awarded UAE with the title of the most improved passport of the decade. Currently, UAE citizens can travel to 134 countries in the world either visa-free or use visa-on-arrival. It is also the strongest passport in the Middle East. Only recently, Japan issued the visa-free service to UAE. One feature of the passport that has got everyone’s notice is that permanent residents of the country can use it too. It is called the residency passport, and they get the same travel rights as the citizens.
