Iran’s strict visa procedures have plummeted the number of international tourists visiting the country. Hassan Rouhani, president of Iran, said on February 16, Friday, that the government is ready to simplify the visa regime with India since they share strong bilateral relationships. He addressed this issue during his speech in Makkah Masjid, Hyderabad. Rouhani is on a three-day visit to India.
Iran has excellent amounts of gas and oil and is ready to help India with them. Also, Rouhani announced that Tehran, Iran’s capital, will grant India access to its Chabahar Port as a transit point to go to Afghanistan. He said that because Indian businesses invested in Iran in rupees, it helped the economy and cleared India’s path to Afghanistan. According to the president, both India and Iran very similar cultures and therefore should cooperate in sectors like agriculture, advanced technology, and industry. He also talked about strengthening peace in the two countries. Rouhani pointed out that Muslims need to unite and fight against the viruses that are trying to tear them apart. They need to be dealt with as soon as possible.
He also informed at the speech that Iranian government is working towards ending the Syrian and Iraqi war. It is because Muslims aren’t united Donald Trump, the US President declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Again, the Zionists wouldn’t have commit atrocities on Palestine’s innocent people.
First ever visit
Rouhani’s three-day tour started on February 15, and it was the first time he ever visited India. The president was sent an invitation on behalf of Narendra Modi, prime minister of India and Ministry of External Affairs. He will be meeting Ram Nath Kovind, Indian president, on February 17, 2018. His visit comes after PM Modi visited Iran for a trilateral deal between Iran, Afghanistan, and India in May 2016.
